Very poor provision for non Italian speakers.
Don't be taken in by the printed text in your language, it does not correlate to the visit, and you won't have time to read it.
A sadly missed opportunity as the expense and effort of opening these spaces stops far short of making the non Italian visitor able to get much from the experience.
Interesting tour of underground sunrise.
Today we visited 3 points thanks to the archaeologist Gianmarco. I wish I could see all the other sites too!!!
The tour was in Italian language, english handouts is available, the tour guide was very friendly and knows the story very well ( she's an archeologist ) it was very interesting although we saw only some part of the ruins because the tours are seasonal.
You can see the ruin under this church, in floor.
Wonderful tour and vary interesting history.
Route guided by a very knowledgeable archaeologist, clear explanations, never boring. The historic environment is decidedly spoiled by the excessive presence of "modern" flooring and walls, an exhibition of paintings and in one point there is even a glass wall that separates it from the bank's meeting room...
It's always nice to visit a city with a trained guide, and with Dennis a young archaeologist who was our guide for a couple of hours we learned many historical curiosities of the city.
I don't want to "spoil" anything about the visit, book your ticket and you won't be disappointed, furthermore the routes that are organized are different so my experience could probably be different from yours.
I can add that our dachshund friend had no limitations in the sites he visited, dogs are welcome, well done
Amazing place for those who are curious for history of civilizations
